Nuova Ottica was born on 1 June 1996. The history of its owner Massimo Fradegrada dates back to 1982. His passion for optics must be sought in the family environment: in 1982 his brother Nicola had already opened the Ottica Stezzano precisely in the Municipality of Stezzano (Bg). Mother Giovanna grew up among the optical language of her three brothers, all with established shops in Sardinia for more than 35 years. It is during the summer holidays that Massimo and Nicola make their first contact with their uncle's optical laboratory and realize that they are incredibly fascinated by this sector.

M assimo graduated as an optician in 1985 and subsequently as an optometrist in 1993, following in the footsteps of his older brother who already graduated. In 1988 he found his first job as an optician at the Foto Cine Ottica in Via Carducci, in Bergamo, where he gained experience until 1995, the year in which his brother Nicola started the renovation of the premises of the Ottica Stezzano. In 1995 he then resumed his professional work together with his brother.

On 9 February 2008 the new store was inaugurated in Petosino , in Via Martiri della Libertà n. 54/D. We have tried to take care of every aspect carefully, also counting on the help of some customers who have participated in the "Competition of ideas" on the internet. The new shop is much larger and is divided into zones: eyeglasses, sunglasses, Noyou self area, examination room and contact lenses, laboratory and office. Furthermore, a hospitality area dedicated to everyone has been created, where the customer can wait in absolute tranquillity, reading or enjoying a good coffee. Our priority has always been the professional aspect and the right balance between price and quality.
